On October 18, MoveOn and our partners are organizing what could be the largest nonviolent day of protest in modern U.S. history. Already, 2,233 protests are planned in every single state and even internationally.
The first No Kings Day, on June 14, brought more than 5 million people into the streets. That historic day of nonviolent resistance proved something vital: When we stand together, we are more powerful than Trump and his cronies.

Now, on October 18, we’ll go even bigger than in June. In big cities and small towns, from coast to coast, we’ll rally in defense of democracy, freedom, and our communities’ safety and dignity.

Every time that the Trump administration chips away at our freedoms, the No Kings movement grows larger and more determined. We’re organizing, mobilizing, and building our power.

We’ll be in the streets for immigrant families under attack and for voters who are being silenced. For communities being terrorized by militarized policing. For families who are about to lose their health insurance. And for every single person whose rights are threatened by Trump and his administration’s cruelty.

History shows that when just 3.5% of a nation’s population engages in sustained, nonviolent resistance, no authoritarian regime can withstand it.3

We made progress toward that in June: Although 5 million people is only about 1.5% of the U.S. population, our day of action drowned out Trump’s outrageous military parade for his birthday and made a huge impact. Let’s not leave anything on the table. Let’s organize to turn out 3.5% of Americans on October 18.

P.S. There are No Kings Day events planned in every single state, in thousands of cities and towns. Chances are there’s one near you—and if not, you can still sign up to host an event! Please check the No Kings Day map and RSVP to attend on October 18 @5pm PST
