Uprising Together is sponsoring a special screening of the critically acclaimed film The Face of the Faceless on Wednesday, February 25th at 7:00 pm at the IMAN Cultural Center in Culver City.

Directed by the renowned Shaison P. Ouseph and produced by Sandra D’Souza Rana, this powerful film has won 125 international awards to date, including the prestigious ICVM (International Catholic Visual Media) Golden Award 2024.

The Face of the Faceless tells the remarkable life story of Blessed Rani Maria, a Catholic nun whose unwavering commitment to empowering women in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, transcended religious boundaries and impacted countless lives. One of the most extraordinary women of our times chose to stand up for the dignity of the most vulnerable in society. She became the face of the faceless and the voice of the voiceless. Rani Maria was murdered in a knife attack, and her assassin was sentenced to prison. Rani Maria’s mother kissed the hands of her daughter’s assassin as a sign of forgiveness and accepted him as one of them. Unbelievable, but a TRUE story of forgiveness.

Attendees will also have the rare opportunity to meet the visionary director behind the film. A Q & A with Director Shaison P. Ouseph will follow the screening.
