A three-day Introduction to Himalayan Sacred Sound workshop introducing students to the family of Tibetan Sacred Sound instruments and the foundational Buddhist principals that inform how they are utilized. We will be exploring the symbolism, task and utilization of the tingshas, ganta/dorje and singing bowls as they pertain to sound healing protocols.

Students will learn to listen to the information (harmonics and hue) the instruments offer and how to bring them into their full voice. We will compare patterns of sound utilizing the elements of pace, volume, rhythm, direction and intention and explore the partnership of practitioner and clients. Students will also learn how to apply the foundational principals to small group sound meditation sessions.

This class is a balance of lecture/demonstration, and hands-on practice. Students who choose to pursue advanced study with Diane will receive credit for this specific class towards the Soul of Yoga Sound Institute’s certificate program.

Attendees of the 25 hour, three day workshop at the Soul of Yoga Sound Institute will receive:

  • Instructional workshop handouts
  • Links to videos of Diane’s Tibetan Bowl Intro Workshop
  • A 2-hour mentoring teleclass (or webinar) where students can ask questions and get feedback about their work
  • An online sound healing student group
