Breathwork and Sound Healing are shortcuts for clearing mental  blocks and promoting  deep states of relaxation and wellbeing. Join Us!

WHAT IS BREATHWORK AND WHY DO IT?

We live in a chaotic, fast-paced world which demands a great deal of our physical, mental and emotional energy. Our breath at any given moment is typically shallow and short as our minds race with worrisome, stressful thoughts or just the sheer busyness of life. If this pattern continues long enough, it leads to a greater risk of developing health issues, both physical, mental and emotional.

Breathwork is a shortcut for clearing mental and emotional blockages from your life. It transforms old beliefs, clears negative behavior patterns, and opens you up to new possibilities by moving stagnant energy from your body. With this technique, you can raise your vibration, reduce anxiety, lessen stress, and help quiet your busy mind so you can experience more peace and calm in your everyday life.

HOW DOES BREATHWORK WORK?

Breath is quite literally the link between your mind and your body and is “the” channel we use to bring needed energy and nourishing oxygen in to the body to do every task required. Breathwork uses the power of breathing to tap into peak performance and a growth mindset, and sets the stage for releasing limiting beliefs, old patterns and anxieties. The Breathwork style taught most closely resembles Holotropic Breathwork developed by Stanislav Grof, but is much shorter than a typical Grof session.

Breathwork consists a full-body 3 part circular breathing exercise that takes you to a profound emotional space. I will guide you for about 25-30 minutes of this type of circular, connected breathing which is one of the quickest and fastest ways to reset your thinking and your emotional state! When you breathe you pull about 80% of the breath into your belly, 20% into the chest, and you then release the breath easily and effortlessly through the mouth. Breathwork helps break our habit of disconnecting with ourselves and reconnects the mind, body and spirit to the present moment through our breath, in the most profound way.

While listening to a well designed playlist of moving and/or energetic songs, you are rhythmically breathing deeply into the abdomen and chest, and then releasing the breath and continuining this pattern for about 25 – 30 minutes. You are deeply expanding the body with this type of deep breathing and the extra oxygen helps to detox our cells and organs. Breathwork helps to release deeply trapped negative emotions and feelings and transforms your mindset from a SURVIVE mentality to a THRIVE mindset! Breathwork quite literally helps to align and release everything holding you back from living the life of your dreams.

If you struggle with fear, anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, grief, emotional pain, feelings of “not good enough” or perhaps just simply long for greater inner peace, maybe it’s time to try something totally different! Join the thousands of people who say breathwork, is one of, if not the MOST transformational experience they have ever had and some report that it can feel like 20 years of therapy in one hour.

Breathwork may not be for you, but I would encouarge anyone to just come and experience a breathwork class at least once and do it with an open heart, an open mind and a willingness to participate full out! You may find that your life after breathwork has been forever transformed!

WHAT IS A SOUND BATH MEDITATION AND WHY DO IT?

Like breathwork, Sound immersion in particular harmonic vibratory frequencies can help to balance and calm the nervous system, the body and the mind; as well as relieve tension and remove stress from the body. The sound frequencies help to create deep relaxation and have been scientifically shown to change your brain wave states, bringing your heart and brain in to more coherence. Laying in a sound bath can expand self awareness and leave you feeling renewed, rejuvenated and more at peace.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SOUND BATH AND WHY COMBINE IT WITH BREATHWORK?

Sound baths are done for groups of people and are typically about for about an hour, but in this class I offer a shorter sound bath following the breathwork portion. When combined with breathwork, the sound bath may last about 20-30 minutes and is even more available to the healing sounds of the instruments. When the body is relaxed and open, the sounds can move more thoroughly through the cells, helping to smooth and deeply relax every part of the mind and body. During this time, listeners lay comfortably on a mat, blanket or other cushioned surface and relax as they listen to a succession of instruments that are designed to ignite an inner journey. The different sounds help to move listeners into a more relaxed state as the harmonic, coherent frequenices move through their bodies and through each and every cell.

The instruments used are a combiation of planetary sun gong, quartz crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, rain stick, buffalo drum, ocean drum, rattles, chimes, bells and more. The purpose, and our collective goal, is to induce relaxation and explore personal inquiry. The gong vibrations impacts the body and its meridians. It releases blocks, reduces tension and stimulates circulation. The gong is used in both sound healing and Breathwork and is a fantastic tool to help clear out the old patterns, blocks and emotions and bring in new manifestations and intentions.

The sound bath experience is about letting go and allowing the sound take you to a deeper place. Sound is the vessel and it allows you to explore and identify what a meditative state is and how it feels. Because of this, a sound bath is not only beneficial for beginners of meditation, seasoned meditators will experience just as many benefits.
