Paramahansa Yogananda Commemorative Birthday Service

Happy New Year! Our holidays continue as we joyfully celebrate the birthday of our Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, with a commemorative service this Friday, January 5. The service will begin at 7 p.m. and will end at approximately 8:30 p.m. at both the main Temple and the J Street Chapel. Both locations will also be open for individual meditation between 6:00 and 6:45 p.m.

It is customary to bring a flower that you have chosen and a donation in an envelope. These are symbols of our love and loyalty.

And lastly (but certainly not least), as is traditional, Master’s birthday cake will be served to all at the conclusion of this joyous celebration! So let us gather, chant, meditate, sing “Happy Birthday” to our beloved Guru, and eat cake!
